Staying at JB's RV Park

Staying at JB's RV Park and Campground

We stayed at JB's RV Park for two nights. The price is $26 and they only accept cash and check. The park is just off Hwy 30 and just 30 minutes from Little Rock. The park is quiet and peaceful, and the manager lives on site, near the entrance.

Address: 8601 J B Baxley Rd, Benton, AR 72015

Website: www.jbsrvpark.com
Dog Friendly: There is a small path that loops around to a pond in the back. There is a lot of poison ivy around the path; and the pond seemed overgrown and not really safe for dogs.
Motorcycle Friendly: The road surfaces were OK in this park, but there is only one road into and out of the park, and it is pretty narrow. To go east on Hwy 30, you need to leave the park, cross Hwy 67, then immediately jog right onto the entrance ramp. Do-able, but a bit nerve-wracking!

Cell Service/Wifi: Verizon was 3 bars, without a booster.
Amenities: The park has washers and dryers, and bathrooms with showers. It is an older park, but the facilities are clean; and the washers and dryers were decent size.

Getting There: The park is just off Hwy 67 and easy access from Hwy 30. There is only one road into the park and its a little narrow, but is only used by residents and visitors.
Know Before You Go: The park has a back section, where long-term residents stay, and a front section, for those who are just passing through. Spots have 30 and 50 amp, and water. Only some spots have sewer connections, but there is dump station at the far end of the front section. All the front section spots had lots of tall, tall trees and shade, and are reasonably level. This is an older park, so getting a larger Class A or Fifth Wheel in and out of the spots is doable, but it will be tight. We absolutely loved the creativity of the long-term residents, but if you do not find yard art and whimsical decorations charming, this might not be the park for you.

Local Stuff: There is a truck stop with a restaurant on the other side of Hwy 30 and the nearest grocery store is Harp's, which is 7 miles away. There is a Gann Museum in Benton and the Buaxite Historical Association Museum is just down the road as well.
