Staying at Laguna Vista

Staying at Laguna Vista RV Park

Price: Our site was $26 a night. This park prefers not to accept credit card, so its a good idea to have cash on hand.

Dog Friendly: There is a small fenced-in dog park. When we stayed here, there wasn't much grass, but it was cool and shady.

Motorcycle Friendly: The RV lot is just crushed gravel, so it is not motorcycle friendly.

Cell Service/Wifi: Verizon was 3 bars, without a booster.

Amenities: The park has bathrooms and showers, and a small laundry room. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. There is also a small fishing pond and a shady strip of trees, with a few picnic benches.

Getting There:  We had to plug the address of this park into our GPS: 218 Shaw Road, Marshall, Tx. We took Hwy 79, then Hwy 59, to get to this park. We did experience some roadwork that added almost an hour to the trip. It's a good idea to check for road construction before you head through this part of Texas. 79 is heavily traveled and any construction can cause quite a bit of back up!

Know Before You Go: The park is mostly pull through spots, with no trees or shade. Our spot was fairly level. There were a full partially-shaded places along the back fence, but these were back-in only. Be prepared for highway noise.

Local Stuff: There is a grocery store 7 miles from Laguna Vista, and a Walmart 13 minutes away. There is also two museums in the area, the Harrison County Museum and Texas and Pacific Railway Museum.

(due to some internet issues we had this week, we will be making several posts today to catch up!)
